Blake Shelton determined to cut out controversial boozy tweets in 2013

Country star BLAKE SHELTON has resolved to dial down his controversial tweets after ringing in 2013 by posting a photo of himself passed out in a chair on New Year's Eve (31Dec12).

The beer-loving singer got into a lot of trouble in 2012 for his boozy posts on Twitter.com and while there are no signs of him cutting back on his alcohol intake, he's determined not to chat about it online.

The Honey Bee singer says, "I need to work on being a less controversial tweeter."

And so far so good - four days into 2013 and his tweets have been contained to thanking fans for their support and confessing a crush on TV personality Hoda Kotb.
