R&B superstar BEYONCE paid a visit to the United Nations (U.N.) on Thursday (09Aug12) ahead of World Humanitarian Day.
The Crazy In Love singer met with Secretary General Ban Ki-moon inside the U.N. General Assembly Hall in New York City, where they discussed the new campaign set for 19 August (12), which encourages people to give back by getting involved in charity ventures.
Beyonce has teamed up with U.N. officials to launch the initiative, and she will unveil a special video for her song I Was Here to mark the global event.
She is 'donating' the clip to campaign bosses in a bid to encourage one billion people around the world to get active in their communities.
