Bob Welch found dead of gunshot wound

NASHVILLE - The man who sang "Sentimental Lady" has died.

Police say Bob Welch was found dead with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest at his home in Nashville Thursday.  He was 65.

Police say Welch had health issues and left a suicide note.

His wife found the body.

Welch was in Fleetwood Mac from 1971 to 1974 when they were more of a blues band but quit as Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks joined.

"Sentimental Lady" was a top ten hit in 1977, and "Ebony Eyes" hit number 14 in 1978.
