If you caught Kirstie Alley's interview with "Entertainment Tonight", you might be a little confused about her past relationship with Patrick Swayze.

Alley was discussing some of the topics covered in her new book, "The Art of Men," when talk turned to the late "Dirty Dancing" actor, who died in 2009.

According to Alley, she and Swayze first met at a table read for "North and South," a 1985 TV miniseries, and they soon developed a relationship - even though both of them were married.

"We were creating a future together," she told "ET." "Both of us were married. We did not have an affair. But again, I think what I did was worse. Because I think when you fall in love with someone when you're married, you jeopardize your own marriage and their marriage. It's doubly bad.

To be clear, the "DWTS " contender tweeted Tuesday, she didn't have "an affair" with her pal Swayze.

And for that matter, their "story" "did NOT include SEX," she posted. "Like is complex. How we think. What we wanted to do but didn't. How we justify our mistakes. I tried to portray this journey in my book."
