Mikella Wickham The Park School of Baltimore

I am very excited to be entering my third year in the Teen Media Project. I enjoy writing, anchoring, and reporting news stories. One of the things I can't wait to do this year is to learn more about producing news shows and working behind the scenes. I plan to explore more of the relationship between news and digital media.

I am a senior at The Park School of Baltimore and I volunteer teaching English to Spanish speaking children and adults. It's really great to make connections with people and see them nod with understanding. I founded my school's charter chapter of Future Business Leaders of America. I've participated on my school's Mock Trial team, Student Senate, and Student Ambassador's program.

Outside of school I serve as president of the teen group of the Baltimore County chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Whenever I have free time I like to play the piano and learn pieces by George Gershwin and Alicia Keys.
