Julia Griffin

I'm Julia Griffin. I currently attend McDonogh School, and will be a freshman at Bard College at Simon's Rock in the fall. I love to write, read, and tell stories through poetry, music, art, or whatever other method I can. I'm the president of my school's Gay-Straight Alliance and a leader in the diversity club, and my main interest within journalism is studying cross-cultural interactions. I define myself not by how I personally identify, but by how I can come to understand the differences and similarities that create our humanity. From my personal experiences and those I have reported, I'm aiming to understand and connect people, and share their stories with the world in the process.
