Baltimore - Wheelock Winspear joined WMAR in 1980.
Wheelock, or Lock as most of his friends call, him found a home in the News Department as an editor. He then became a photographer and an accomplished satellite technician. Now he does all those jobs and has added Multi Media Journalist to his resume.
After 30 years of working in local news here in Baltimore he knows the community and its surrounding area better than most. Rarely a day goes by without one of his war stories giving insight to WMAR's legacy.
Having grown up in the rural Ohio inspired him to live in the Parkton area and becoming the resident gardener for WMAR.
