Baltimore - A few days ago I walked by an edit bay where ABC2 Chief Photographer/MMJ Lamont Williams was working on a story on NFL injuries.

He had spent days at training camp and this was one day that camp wasn't open to the media, so he wanted to put together a story based on interviews he had done earlier at camp. But I didn't just see Lamont in that edit bay. Jamie Costello was standing by him, helping him with the writing.

Our photographers are fabulous. Our anchors and reporters are quite fabulous too! But now they are learning each others craft. It's great because, while we had outside trainers come in an help us, they're also helping each other along the way. In this instance Lamont was stuck on a line. He knew what he wanted to say, but he did quite no how to say it. So in came Jamie and they worked through it, together.

But getting help is a two way street.

There are many days that I see Jamie at his desk (it's right in front of my office) with Lamont helping him with some editing tricks. It never gets old. Because each are constantly learning not only about each others specialties but also relearning what they thought they already know.

I put a link to Lamont's story. He's a new face, but a long time member of our ABC2 family. While you've only seen him on TV since March (give or take) he's been with WMAR for more than 30 years.

And then there is Jamie, you know all about him, you wake up with him every morning. But the next time you see him he may have a camera in his hand and may be doing all the work all so we can cover your community better.
