Ravens Matt Birk will speak at the Baltimore Community Foundation Scholarship Luncheon at M&T Bank Stadium.  The Baltimore Community Foundation will announce $81,500 in college scholarships awarded to 55 Maryland students.

This includes the $10,000 One Step Up scholarship created by a retired teacher. Ravens President Dick Cass will join Birk in speaking about the Ravens' commitment to education and scholarships.

Birk, a Harvard graduate, 11-year NFL veteran and six time Pro Bowler is the founder of the Matt Birk HIKE Foundation.  The mission of the HIKE Foundation is to provide at-risk Minnesota and Baltimore area children with the educational opportunities needed to excel in the classroom and in life.

The charitable funds of several Ravens players, including Todd Heap and Ed Reed are among the 600 plus funds of the Baltimore Community Foundation.  The Foundation helps families and organizations carry out their charitable plans with the common goal of improving the quality of life in Baltimore.
