Owings Mills High School Senior, Robbie Solomon was injured in his first quarter of his first ever High School football game back in the fall. He broke his fibula and tibula and had to have immediate surgery.
Solomon went through months of rehab and was sidelined from any athletic participation from September through February.
But now after several months of non contact baseball workouts, he is one of four seniors on the OMHS varsity baseball team and is preparing for the teams opening game on March 20
th against Pikesville.
Solomon who played third base in the past is going out for first base this year because his leg hasn’t completely healed and he has little mobility on sharp groundballs hit to him.
But he isn’t complaining considering two months ago he was being told he wouldn’t play this spring.
Solomon will be a leader to the team as they head into this season, his last.
