There’s a new grading policy at Patterson Mill High School that’s causing a lot of controversy between the students and staff.
The new policy makes homework worth ten percent of a student’s overall grade, gives thirty percent for quizzes and classwork, and alots sixty percent for tests and projects.
Most of the staff like the new policy and say that it’s improving the students work habits.
Many students on the other hand, believe that the system is unfair and causes them too much stress.
Patterson Mill Principal Wayne Thibeault says that he was looking for a new system that was, “fair, consistent, and equitable across all lines.”
