Quote from Margo Wootan at The Center for Science in the Public Interest

Last Update: 5/19/2008 6:00 pm
"People have a right to know what's in their food," said Margo Wootan, of the Center for Science in the Public Interest. "How can you exercise personal responsibility and make an informed choice if you don't have basic information?"

Wootan's group wants chain restaurants to publish nutrition information at their actual chains instead of only online, so that diners can know what they're eating.

She also thinks that restaurants shouldn't try to pretend that one order of food constitutes more than a serving. She cited three cities: New York, San Francisco and Seattle, that have adopted policies mandating that a menu item counts as one serving.
