Ravens Lose to Steelers in AFC Championship Game

Last Update: 1/19 9:23 am
(Pittsburgh, PA.) The Baltimore Ravens lost a hard fought battle to their arch rivals the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC Championship Game 23-14.

With a little more than four minutes remaining in the game, the Ravens offense was attempting a late drive when Steelers safety Troy Polamalu picked off a Joe Flaco pass and returned it for a touchdown to put the game out of reach.

In a scary moment near the end of the game Ravens running back Willis McGahee was knocked unconscious and had to be carried off the field on a stretcher. There is no word on his condition.

The Steelers will go on to play the Arizona Cardinals in the Super Bowl in Tampa on February 1. The Cardinals defeated the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship game earlier today.
