President Elect Barack Obama and President Bush will meet Monday afternoon in the Oval Office at the White House. They are expected to spend much of the time talking about the economy.
Bush and Obama will also talk about National Security Affairs and Homeland Security, a second stimulus package and help for the Auto Industry.
"I'm not going to anticipate problems. I'm going to go in there with a spirit of bipartisanship and a sense that both the President and various leaders in Congress all recognize the severity of the situation right now and want to get stuff done," said President Elect Barack Obama.
There is concern that the price of stabilizing the economy could come at the expense of Obama's other campaign promises like providing Health Care to the uninsured. Advisors said Obama may use his executive powers to reverse some Bush Administration policies like limiting federal spending on Embryonic Stem Cell research.
"I don't think that President Bush will be presumptuous in trying to talk to Barack Obama about how he makes decisions. I think that the President probably will share how he has made decisions and some of the things that he feels are important," said Dana Perino, White House Chief of Staff.
While President Elect Barack Obama and President Bush meet alone at the White House, First Lady Laura Bush will welcome future First Lady Michelle Obama with a tour of the White House.
