It's your chance to make a difference for Maryland's kids. Join Oprah's Big Give, Give Change '2' Change Lives fund drive. ABC2, WMAR-TV and First Mariner Bank are challenging each and every Marylander to support Kid's Chance of Maryland. Just as the name implies, Kids' Chance, gives a chance for education and a better life to kids whose parents have been killed or catastrophically injured on the job. ABC2 is asking all Marylanders to collect loose change and bring it to any 1st Mariner Bank location. The change will be added to the $10,000 that ABC has already donated to ABC2 to help change lives in Baltimore. Please join 1st Mariner and ABC2 in making a difference for Kid's Chance of Maryland.
On April 18th:
WMAR-TV ABC2 will feature a live remote for the Big Tally Event. We ask everyone to deliver all the change collected from March 16th through April 17th to the new 1st Mariner Bank in Hickory. WMAR will invite the public to visit the bank for the last chance to donate and to watch the coins be counted.

Every year, 3.5 million people are disabled by on-the-job injuries. Another 5,000 lose their lives. It's the families and, in particular, the children who are many times forgotten when these losses occur. Kids' Chance provides an opportunity for these children to pursue their education, reach their goals, and fulfill their dreams for the future. |
