Body Found in Water Near Mayo Beach

A body was recovered Monday morning from the waters off Mayo Beach in Edgewater.

Officials say a windsurfer found the body about a quarter of a mile from the shoreline of Mayo Beach at around 11:18 Monday morning.

Crews from Department of Natural Resources, the county police and fire department, as well as the Coast Guard responded.

There is no specific information on the body available at this time.
