Lipscomb Sentenced In Mayor's Case

Baltimore developer Ronald Lipscomb was sentenced for conspiracy to violate campaign finance law.   Lipscomb plead guilty in June.

As part of the plea agreement, prosecutors dropped bribery charges against him.

Lipscomb was accused of paying for a survey for Baltimore City councilwoman Helen Holton.  Lipscomb's contribution to that survey was $12,500.

A judge ordered Lipscomb to pay a $25,000 fine today.  He's already performed 100 hours of community service, met with the state prosecutor's office on Hilton's case and Mayor Sheila Dixon's case.

He's also agreed to give testimony at their upcoming trials.

Lipscomb also cannot give money to any political candidates or attend city politician's events for 3 years.
