Megan Moran’s Prom was ruined.
"I feel like we missed out, I feel like we all missed out on something."
Well it turns out, Moran and her friends were not the only ones left stranded by White Glove Limousine Service.
After our story aired on the limousine company, we got several emails complaining of being ripped off by White Glove. The story and reaction even got the Maryland Public Service Commission to investigate.
The PSC issued this subpoena asking owner Brian James to appear before the commission today.
"Do we have Mr. James here today?” asked the chairman of the commission, “OK let the record reflect a definite silence and nobody identifying themselves as Mr. James."
James was a no show.
The PSC wants James to explain himself and his company, his seemingly non legitimate business practices and why a growing number of people were left stranded with no refund.
Those questions went unanswered today as he failed to appear.
Brian James is a hard man to find.;
We couldn’t reach him at his home or at the three addresses he lists for his business on a now forfeited business license.
Phone calls to the company's reservation line went unanswered too....the same problem for customers asking for a refund and the public service commission which issued a subpoena, but now the PSC has given him just one more week to respond.
The commission wants to see permits, proper registration and the mandated special license for he and his drivers.
Proof that he is legal and not a scam artist ruining people's special days.
"They should be ashamed of themselves I mean this is horrible. how can you do this to children? How can you sleep at night? I mean this was important to them," said Megan’s mother Denise
Proof customers like the Morans are eager to see.
Brian James has one week to respond to the PSC before it takes action against him and his company.
Stay tuned as we work for you to discover just what kind of business James is running.
