KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- What do Captain Crunch, Sunny D. and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich have in common?
They're all products are marketed to kids and all included in a
new list of worst foods for kids.
The list, compiled by
'Children's Health', names names.
The list identifies 20 foods highest in fat, sugar, sodium and calories that are also low in fiber and protein.
The list says 16 ounces of Sunny D contains 260 calories and 60 grams of sugar.
Bob Evans' Smiley Face Potatoes is considered the worst side dish. One serving contains 524 calories, 31 grams of fat (6 grams of saturated fat) and 646 milligrams of sodium.
Burger King's Kids Double Cheeseburger with Fries and a Coke is the worst drive through meal with 1,100 calories, 52 grams of fat and 1,870 milligrams of sodium.
And, Austin Cheese Crackers with Cheddar Jack Cheese is the worst packaged snack. It packs 210 calories, 10 grams of fat and 370 milligrams of sodium.
The worst kids' meal on
the list is the Kids Kombo with Fries at Uno Chicago Grill. It has a whopping 1,250 calories and 79 grams of fat.
