We all want to see kids succeed, but too often we hear negative stories about our schools. But this story is a success story.

KIPP - which stands for knowledge is power - is a national network of free, open-enrollment, college-preparatory public schools that has one school in Baltimore, but is growing. And today on Good Morning Maryland @ 9, Megan introduced us to the head of KIPP Baltimore Jason Botel.

Jason talked about the philosophy behind KIPP and how they are expanding their impact here in Baltimore. He also talked about the upcoming events you may be interested in as they expand everyone's understanding of their schools.
