It started 27 years ago as a kind gesture to help a sick friend. Today, it is a non-profit organization helping cancer patients at Johns Hopkins Oncology and the Anne Arundel Oncology. All with stained glass artwork.

It is called The Caring Collection and the creator, Bobbie Burnett, along with one of those affected by Bobbie's work, Katie Hood, joined Megan on Good Morning Maryland @ 9, to talk about the collection of stain glass angels which at this time of the year mean more to those fighting cancer then anything else.

Bobbie and Katie talked about the 90 volunteers who have helped raise nearly $800,000 for specific equipment for patient care and research. They also talked about that first friend and the thousands of others around the country who have received an angel from The Caring Collection.
