Volunteering is beneficial for many reasons. The outcome benefits the recipient and it is also good for the volunteer. It can not only give him or her a sense of self, according for one study, volunteering can also improve the health of people over the age of 55.

On Good Morning Maryland @ 9, Dr. Alicia Arbaje explained that volunteering can lower blood pressure and have many more positive side effects on overall health and Mr. Maddox, a volunteer, explained how you can get involved in your community.
