Police in Anne Arundel County are responding to the concerns of Crofton neighbors who have been on edge since the murder of 14-year-old Christopher Jones on Saturday. Police have beefed up their presence in the community, targeting gang violence.

A mobile command unit and more bike patrols are part of the new effort called Action, Actively Combatting Trouble In Our Neighborhoods.  Police said the two teenagers charged in the beating death are in a gang.

Police believe they are part of The New Threat or The East Side Diamonds.
