It has always been a sacred fashion rule… no white after Labor Day. I am not sure how this rule came to be, but until recently, it was one that should never be broken. I was recently shopping in a Fells Point favorite of mine – Cupcake, and the saleswoman informed me that I may indeed wear white after September 7th. She said the rule was old school. Wear whatever you want, there are no rules.. that was her attitude and I happen to agree. Be rule breaker. Be a rebel. Wear white.
After all, those who become – so called fashion icons are usually the ones who don’t stick to the rules and wear what they want. I think confidence is usually the best thing a person can put on. While I plan to wear white – whether it is winter pants, a white coat, Crest whitening strips, or white accessories, I must say – white shoes (for this gal) are my fashion no-no. Everyone has to have their own set of rules. No white shoes, that’s mine. If you have any, feel free to leave them below.
