Event: Heavy snow: 10" in Oconee County of western South Carolina; Rome, GA, had 4.4", a March record.

Place: Dayton, OH
Year: 1968
Event: (22nd-23rd) 11.3" of snow, greatest 24 hour single snowstorm event in city's history, until the blizzard of '78 which left 12.2" on January 26, 1978.
