Indiana Jones & The Staff of Kings For the Sony PSP

Last Update: 8/11 12:48 pm
I can’t express enough how great this game is on the PSP. A lot of games, while they maybe fun, take a long time loading scenes or saving games. With The Staff of Kings, its like playing on a powerful console.

The game is broken up nicely with several little scenes where you have to accomplish a main goal with additional tasks on the side. If all the tasks are accomplished, you earn points to upgrade Indy with health or other abilities. In addition to the tasks are picking up artifacts. These artifacts also work as points, but unlock cheats which are only available after the game is completed. It adds to it, but there are so many little levels that it already has a high replay value.

It just makes the game a must have because whatever you’re into whether its with puzzles or shooters, you can just load that board up. Usually with other PSP games I have to play through a certain area or checkpoint to get to the section I want.

The controls are great and easy to pick up on. Most of the game is fighting with your fists, your whip, or pistol. A lot of the environment can be interacted with though. From dish plates to shovels, you can use all sorts of items as weapons. My personal favorite environment is when you’re in the firework factory. At certain times in the game when an opponent is in a particular spot of opportunity you can use your whip to bring down items on them or pull the supports out of ledges they are standing on.

A great game you'll want to play again and again. I give it a 4 out of 5.
