Wife Accused of Stabbing Husband in Edgewood

An Edgewood woman is in police custody charged with attempted murder after officers say she stabbed her husband in the chest.

Harford County Sheriff's deputies were called to the victim's home in the 1700-block of Judy Way at around 10 p.m. Sunday night. They found the victim, 47-year-old Rodney Preston, suffering from a stab wound to the upper chest. He was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center where he is currently listed in serious but stable condition.

Police took Preston's wife, 47-year-old Vivian Green of the 1800-block of Eloise Lane in Edgewood, into custody. She is been charged with attempted murder as well as first and second degree assault. She is being held at the Harford County Detention Center pending a review with a district court commissioner.
