2 Charged in Harford Road Rage Incident

Last Update: 6/21/2009 1:34 pm
Two Harford County men were arrested and charged Saturday after police say they pointed a rifle at the driver and passenger of another car in an alleged road rage incident.

It all began shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Conowingo Road in Darlington. Police say the suspects, 19-year-old Michael Allan Kaminski of Bel Air and 18-year-old Allen Timothy Reed of Joppa, were driving southbound on Conowingo Road with a juvenile in their car when they claim a motorist passed them in a reckless manor.

State Police say the suspects then tried to pass the motorists car in a similar fashion. The motorist began following the suspects closely. Police say that at some point the suspects displayed a rifle and pointed it at the driver and his passenger. The motorist immediately called 911 to report the incident and continued following the suspects to a residential community near Thomas Run Road.

Troopers from the Maryland State Police Bel Air barrack responded to the area and arrested the suspects. Both teens were charged with two counts of first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault, and reckless endangerment. They were taken to the Harford County Detention Center for processing.

Police say no shots were fired and no injuries were reported. The juvenile was not charged.

The incident remains under investigation.
