Easton police say they've charged a 20-year-old man in a string of attempted kidnappings since April 2008.
David Batson of Easton was arrested Thursday and police say he faces 31 charges, including assault, attempted kidnapping, armed robbery and reckless endangerment.
The charges stem from five incidents involving a suspect with a similar description.
In some of the cases, police say Batson asked for directions, then displayed a gun ordered the men into his car and some of the men were robbed. All five fled. In one case, police say the victim said he heard gunshots as he ran away.
In the most recent case last month, police say the victim was able to give them the license plate number of the car involved, which was registered to Batson.
