SALISBURY, Md. (AP) -- Prosecutors say a Salisbury woman accused of luring a man to his death was motivated by greed.
Deputy State's Attorney Sam Vincent told jurors Monday that Shala Dorman is just as responsible for Brookes Harmon's death as the three men who beat and suffocated him.
Vincent says the 22-year-old mother of three functioned as bait. But Dorman's attorney said in his opening statement that his client was a victim, not an accomplice, of the three men entered her home and attacked Harmon.
Two other Salisbury men face charges in Harmon's death. Prosecutors say one of them, 28-year-old Carlos Mills, will plead guilty to second-degree murder and testify against Dorman.
A fourth suspect, 31-year-old Lamont Mitchell, committed suicide.
