The Kent County authorities have charged a man and his adult daughter with growing marijuana.

The Kent County Sheriff's Office says narcotics officers saw 63-year-old Geoffrey Armiger and his daughter, Erika, caring for marijuana plants last week outside Pomona. Officials say nine marijuana plants were seized from the 42-year-old woman's property.

Authorities say Geoffrey Armiger told officers he had drug paraphernalia at his house near Kingstown in Queen Anne's County, where they found a marijuana plant and evidence of rooms for growing and drying marijuana in an outbuilding.

Authorities say the Armingers are charged in Kent County with manufacturing and possessing marijuana and charges are pending in Queen Anne's County.
