The Queen Anne's County Sheriff's Office is investigating the theft of more than $105,000 in parts taken from boats on display near the Chesapeake Bay bridge in Stevensville.
American Performance Marine employees discovered the thefts last week. The sheriff's office says propellers, tie bars, outdrives and hydraulic steering were taken from the three boats on display on the grass off Pier One Road.
Sales manager Rick Scott says all three boats are privately owned and are for sale. He says all the parts were bolted on and would have required tools to remove them.
The estimated cost of the missing items came to $105,422.
