SALISBURY, Md. (AP) -- The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office says a Salisbury woman has been charged after her child was found wandering in the street.
A deputy was called to the 800 block of Booth Street on Saturday morning for a report of a small child wandering in the street and found the 3-year-old.
The sheriff's department says the child had been wandering in a common area next to the road for about 30 minutes, but the child's mother was in her home, unaware that the child had left.
The mother, 25-year-old Wilkely Garcia, was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child and reckless endangerment.
She was later released on her personal recognizance.
