ELKTON, Md. (AP) -- Maryland State Police say a motorist punched another driver in the face several times at a Cecil County intersection after a traffic disagreement.
Police say 44-year-old Michael Miller of Elkton was sitting at the intersection of Route 40 and Chesapeake Boulevard on Thursday when a man began pummeling him through an open car window, then sped off in a black Ford F-150 pickup truck with a Delaware license plate.
Trooper First Class Jason Proctor said the attacker believed the driver of the other vehicle had cut him off over the state line in Delaware.
Proctor says it appeared that Miller would need stitches for his injuries, but he refused treatment, preferring to drive himself to the hospital.
He says two people who witnessed the assault provided information to police.
