Man Found Shot in Annapolis Sunday Morning

A man is recovering after being shot early Sunday morning in Annapolis.

Officers were called to the 1100-block of Madison Street shortly after 1:30 a.m. for reports of shots fired in the area.

The victim was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the right leg. He was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center for treatment.

Neighbors told police they heard what sounded like an altercation before hearing gunshots.

The investigation is ongoing.
