Today on Good Morning Maryland @ 9, ABC2 News Diana Alvear showed us how Generation X and Generation Y are changing how the corporate ladder. Jamie also sat down with Jenifer Ranshaw Smith from Brand ID, a company that helps you brand yourself, to talk about some simple tricks from Generation X to excel in the job search and the workplace.

1. The theory of detachment
2. The ability to rebound
3. The ability to embrace transferable skills
4. Being self reliant
5. Looking forward to fulfilling their purpose... not retirement
