With 15 years of anchoring and reporting in Baltimore, and more than 20 years as a broadcast journalist, Terry Owens is one of the leaders of the ABC2 News Team. Owens anchors ABC2 News at 5:30 and then hits the streets to report for ABC2 News the latest at 11:00. Owens has reported from City Hall to Seoul South Korea on issues and events affecting the people of Baltimore. His work and commitment to community service have been honored by both local and national organizations.

Previously, Owens worked in some of the nation’s largest television markets including Los Angeles, San Francisco and Detroit. Along with his anchor and reporting duties Owens is also the host of Baltimore’s longest running Public Affairs show, 2 The Point.

Terry uses his years of experience and contacts throughout the city to explore the important issues affecting Baltimore, the state of Maryland and the nation. Terry is Past President of the Association of Black Media Workers, and currently serves on the Board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Maryland and The Board of Child Care. He is also an active member of Bridgeway Community Church.

When he is not chasing news stories Owens enjoys golf, exercise, and live jazz. Owens and his wife Deborah, a published author and radio talk show host, have two children.

Owens is a graduate of Michigan State University.
