My break into broadcasting came when I was 19 in my home town in northern Michigan. I have been honored five times by the National Association of Sportscasters and Sportswriters as State Sportscaster of the Year. I was part of Orioles broadcasts for thirteen years, first as host of the pre-game show, and later as a play-by-play broadcaster with Hall of Famers Brooks Robinson and Jim Palmer.
Local football fans may know me from my work as the radio voice of the Ravens since they debuted in Baltimore in 1996. I have also done play-by-play broadcasts for Baltimore teams in the USFL and CFL.
Since I have become a frequent banquet emcee and speaker, I donate my time to several local charitable organizations such as the Johns Hopkins Children's Center, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, MD Special Olympics, the Facets Boys Home in Harford County, and the Courage House at St. Vincent's.
I live in Harford County with my wife Georgeanna and two daughters Kelly and Danielle.
