Brian Kuebler is excited to be back in Maryland. The son of a New York cop, Brian was born and raised on Long Island but left when he was 18 to attend the University of Maryland, College Park.
It was at Maryland where Brian developed a love for the Terps, news and Maryland. When he graduated he received a key chain that says ‘Terp for Life.’ He hadn’t removed it from his keys in 10 years hoping it was a sign; it was.
After starting his career at KMVT-TV in tiny Twin Falls, Idaho, Brian attended graduate school at the University of Missouri, Columbia where he worked for KOMU-TV and covered the 9/11 attacks in his home city of New York.
After Missouri, Brian got a job in Memphis, Tennessee at the CBS affiliate, WREG-TV. He spent six years there and became the lead reporter covering a wide variety of stories including crime, fire and landmark court cases.
Brian was happy to trade in southern BBQ for Maryland crab. He is excited to finally be back in the area he’s always called his home away from home. Although a rabid and recently heart broken NY Mets fan, he hopes to settle into Camden Yards for O’s games, enjoys running along the Inner Harbor, going to the gym and keeping active in one of the healthiest cities in the country.
Look for Brian’s investigative work as well as covering the news of the day throughout the Baltimore region.
