New Rides & a Variety of Ride Specials

The Maryland State Fair’s rides and amusements have come a long way over the years from greased pole climbs and sack races to a Midway with more than 40 rides that provide thrills and chills for children, adults and adventure seekers of all ages.  This year, Deggeller Attractions will feature new high tech rides such as The Typhoon and Funnel Force for the bravest fairgoers and tame but exciting rides for children such as the 4x4 Truck Ride and the Wiggle Worm.  The Merry-Go-Rounds and Ferris Wheels will continue their stately presence at the Fair maintaining their position as the all-time favorite rides of fair history.  A variety of ride specials will be offered at different times during the Fair including:

“RIDEMANIA” PREVIEW NIGHT
Thursday, August 21, 2008, 5:00 p.m. – 11 p.m.

Fairgoers pay only $15.00 for admission and to ride all the rides they wish.  Those who do not wish to ride pay only $4.00 for admission.   NOTE:  On Ridemania Night, only the Midway rides, games and food stands will be open.  Exhibition Halls, Livestock Barns, etc. will open on Friday, August 22, 2008.

FOOD LION RIDE SPECIAL
Friday, August 22, 2008 and Monday, August 25 through Thursday, August 28, 2008, 12 Noon – 10 p.m. ONLY

Fairgoers pay $20.00 (SOLD ONLY FROM NOON – 6 PM) to ride an unlimited number of rides from Noon – 10 p.m.
A $5.00 off coupon is available at local Food Lion Stores. FAIR ADMISSION IS NOT INCLUDED.

LABOR DAY RIDE SPECIAL
Monday, September 1, 2008, 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Fairgoers pay $20.00 to ride an unlimited number of rides from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.  FAIR ADMISSION IS NOT INCLUDED.

RIDE DISCOUNT TICKET SHEETS are also available from Friday, August 22 – Monday, September 1, 2008 at the Midway Ride Ticket Booths: 50 ride tickets for $45.00.
