Live Thoroughbred Horseracing

Live Thoroughbred Horseracing is taking place Friday, August 22 through Sunday, August 24 and Friday, August 29 through Monday, September 1. Post Time is 1 PM each day. 

Free with paid admission to the Maryland State Fair.

Located in the Grandstands. 

The Timonium Race Track is home to Live Thoroughbred Horseracing.  Simulcast racing (for Delaware, Calder, Saratoga and Meadowlands) will take place every day except Tuesday, August 26.  There will be no live racing Monday, August 25 through Thursday, August 28.  The 5/8th mile oval, which overlooks scenic York Road, presents two stakes races over the Labor Day weekend; the $50,000 Alma North for fillies and mares on Saturday and the $50,000 Taking Risks on Monday.  Both races are restricted to Maryland-breds, and each race is carded at 6-1/2 furlongs.
