U.S. Foods workers in Severn, who deliver to most of Maryland, have been on strike since last week.
Truck drivers and the warehouse employees for US Foods at this location were told their facility is shutting down in June.
"So they're trying to take these Maryland jobs, move them to Virginia, a non-union facility and then shuffle the trucks back up here to Baltimore," said Jim Deene, a local 355 teamster representative for the truck driver. "Their package is worth about $32 an hour total with health and welfare and pension and they want to take it down to about $11 an hour."
"They're talking about bringing the minimum wage up to $15, they'll be under the $15," said Neil Dixon, with Teamsters local 570 that represents the warehouse workers. "The company is trying to get 8.1 million dollars out of this deal in concessions. Those concessions are going to hurt our people."
U.S. Foods said in a statement, "Due to declining case volume in the Washington, D.C. area market, the company has been forced to evaluate its costs, service model and customer requirements."
The company said the decision to close a facility is never easy and "At this point, the Company is focusing on transition planning for its impacted employees, including severance and relocation packages, and on making this a seamless transition for those customers served out of the Severn facility."
