New solar probe launches with ties to Johns Hopkins and Laurel

A new solar probe heading to the sun was designed and built by scientists at Johns Hopkins University. The vessel launched successfully from Cape Canaveral, Fla. Sunday. The Parker Solar Probe is expected to get closer to the sun and orbit it over the next several years. This probe was built at a lab in laurel.
