Study shows 30-somethings doing worse than previous generations

For the first time in history, the American dream may really be in trouble.

A new study by the Urban Institute shows the net worth of 30-somethings is down 21 percent from 30-somethings a few decades ago when adjusted for inflation.

The researchers say it's the first time in our history that a generation is that much worse off than their parents.

Experts say this is likely because of higher school loan debt, and losses from the housing bubble burst.
