Are you a renter in Baltimore?

You’re battling a high cost of living and a low quality of life, at least according to a recent study from WalletHub.

WalletHub cited a housing report published by Harvard University, which found that just over 36 percent of households are renting in 2016—the largest amount since the 1960s.

Harvard researchers found the number of renters dedicating at least half of their income toward housing hit a record high of 11 million people, while another 21.3 million spent at least 30 percent.

Scottsdale, Arizona topped the list as being the best place in the country for renters, ranking number one in terms of affordability and five in quality of life.

Out of 150 cities in the study, Baltimore is at 143, ranking 105 in terms of affordability and 143 in quality of life.
