Samsung Pay expands in U.S.

More consumers will be able to use their Samsung phones to make purchases with the expansion of Samsung Pay next year, Reuters reported this week.

The service debuted in South Korea on Samsung’s high-end phones, including the Galaxy Note 5, the Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge Plus.

Beginning in 2016, Samsung Pay will be available on more of its phones, and U.S. shoppers will be able to use it online.

Samsung Pay launched its U.S. service in September with technology that most stores had already. Its rivals, Apple Pay and Alphabet Inc.’s Android Pay, required retailers to install new equipment, according to Reuters.
