WellPet recalls some of its adult cat food due to concerns it might contain metal, according to PetSmart.
The recall includes four varieties of Wellness Adult Cat Foods in 12.5 oz. cans in the United States. Each has a best by date of August 2019. The products affected are as follows:
- Wellness Cat Adult Turkey/Salmon Pate; UPC: 7634408819
- Wellness Cat Adult Chicken/Herring GF Pate; UPC: 7634408820
- Wellness Cat Adult Chicken GF Pate; UPC: 7634408822
- Wellness Cat Adult Turkey GF Pate; UPC: 7634408823
If you have any of these products, PetSmart suggests stop feeding the food to your cat and return the affected items to your nearest PetSmart for a full refund.
No other Wellness products are impacted by this issue. PetSmart said it is "not aware of any cats becoming ill or injured from this product."
