Diamond Nuts announced a voluntary recall of certain macadamia nuts and macadamia nuts and halves due to a risk of salmonella contamination.

The company says there have been no related illness reported.

Additionally, Bimbo Bakeries has issued a recall for Entenmann's Little Bites snacks because consumers found plastic bits in the treats. At least one injury has been reported.

In Maryland, the recall affects Little Bites Fudge Brownies and Chocolate Chip Muffins with a best by date of October 8.

Bimbo Bakeries said it traced the problem to a manufacturing failure at a contractor's bakery in Illinois.
