NATIONAL - A warning for iPhone users - you might want to double check your email.
The latest version of Apple's IOS 7 software fails to encrypt email attachments, leaving them vulnerable to hackers.
That's according to German security expert Andreas Kurtz.
He tested the flaw in an iPhone 4, an iPhone 5S and an iPad 2.
Kurtz was able to get into email attachments on a locked device by plugging it into a computer and using some passcode-bypassing software.
He alerted Apple, the company said it was already aware of the problem but didn't say when it would be fixed.
