If you’re heading out tonight to ring in 2016, chances are, you might be summoning an Uber to help you get there safely.

Now, Facebook and Uber have announced a new partnership, called Transportation, allowing Facebook Messenger users to call an Uber right in the app.

The social network unveiled the partnership over the last few weeks in about 30 different cities with Uber, including Baltimore.

Tech expert Jennifer Jolly explains how it works in the video above.

“I think for the most part, people don’t really know about it,” said Jolly, adding Transportation will eventually expand to other markets with Uber throughout the U.S. and across the globe.

But 700 million people are already using Facebook Messenger, and this is a convenient one-stop shop for those who are also regular Uber users, she said.

“It’s become a very important way for people to communicate, really their main form of communication,” Jolly said. “It’s really nice to be able to do everything within one app, not a series of apps. You can do it within a conversation, make plans within a conversation, without having to open several apps.”
